What is Side Pot in Teenpatti Online?

A side pot gets created in Teen Patti online when 1 or more players go all-in, and yet there exist more chances to place additional bets. Here, only those players that haven’t gone all-in can place their bets. The side pot is essentially a separate pot containing the chips that all-in players can’t bet.

How Does Side Pot Work in Teen Patti Online?

Let’s understand the working of a side pot. Suppose there are 3 participants in Teen Patti online. Each one has 100 chips. Let’s say that player A and B bets only 50 chips each, but player C goes all-in for 100 chips. In this situation, both players A and B can still place their bets, but player C can’t place bets anymore. Let’s assume that player A bets additional 50 chips and player B calls.

At this stage, there is one main pot and one side pot. The main pot contains 150 chips (50 chips from each participant). Any of these 3 players can win this pot. Now, the side pot contains 100 chips (50 chips from player A and 50 chips from player B). This is the maximum amount A and B can bet. Also, player C went all-in. So, only players A and B are eligible to win this side pot.

The remaining bets will take place between player A and player B. Both these players can bet until one of them is all-in. At that point, a new pot can get created if necessary.  In case player A wins, he’ll win both the main pot and the side pot (250 chips in total). If player B wins, he’ll win only the main pot.

Player C can win only the side pot (if he wins as he’s still not all-in). So, the side pot logic in Teen Patti online allows players who are all-in to win the main pot even if they can’t place additional bets.

Bottom Line

Teen Patti online provides various versions for participants to place their bets and win. Side pot betting is one such popular variety that lets you win even if you can’t place additional bets (after going all-in). Just make sure you underrated the rules and join a reliable platform to enhance your winning chances.
